Services - Homebuyer Education Seminars - Residents of Polk County
There is no seminar fee for residents of Polk County or the City of Lakeland. Your Driver’s License will be verified to confirm that you are a current Polk County resident.
For Polk County Downpayment assistance there is now a 12 month prior residency restriction requirement in order to receive program assistance. Additionally, a buyer who does not meet the minimum residency requirement, but currently works within Polk County, is eligible for assistance. This does not apply to the City of Lakeland Downpayment Assistance program, if you are buying within the city limits of the City of Lakeland.
HANDS performs an 8-hour Homebuyer Education seminar for Orange County, and the City of Orlando downpayment programs.

Registration -- Select one of the classes above and submit the application form and payment method.
Notification -- Once your registration is submitted a seminar notification will be emailed with a map to the seminar location and your confirmation number.
Requirements -- To attend a class/seminar, you must have filled a valid registration AND have received your confirmation number.
